Order Cancellations, Returns and Exchanges

All Vintage items sold by CHIIIT ARCHIVE are one-of-a-kind. We do not accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges for customer convenience after an order has been placed. This includes size issues, differences in appearance or colour perception, change of mind, or ordering the wrong item. If you have any questions, please contact us before placing your order.

Condition of Vintage Items

Vintage items may show signs of age, including wear, minor scratches, stains, fading, storage wrinkles, or previous repairs. We provide detailed photographs and descriptions to accurately represent each item. Please review all information carefully before purchasing. Additional photographs may be available upon request.

When a Return or Refund May Be Accepted

If you receive the wrong item, significant damage not disclosed in the listing, a material difference from the description, or an item objectively confirmed not to be authentic, please contact us through our contact form as soon as possible and, where practicable, within 3 days of delivery so that we can verify its condition. We will review the case and offer an appropriate return, refund, or other remedy. The 3-day request does not limit rights available under applicable law. Returns sent without prior approval may be refused.

Return Shipping

Where a return is accepted due to our error, such as an incorrect shipment or a significant undisclosed defect, CHIIIT ARCHIVE will cover return shipping and refund the item price paid, which includes standard domestic delivery. We will confirm the refund amount and return method in advance.

If we exceptionally agree to a customer-convenience return that would otherwise be excluded, return shipping is paid by the purchaser. We will confirm the refund terms in advance.

Orders Placed via Buyee

For Vintage items purchased via Buyee, Buyee is the point of contact for purchasing, payment, and international delivery. Please start the inquiry from your Buyee order page. CHIIIT ARCHIVE cannot issue a direct Stripe refund to the overseas end customer. Buyee fees, international shipping, duties, taxes, and other amounts paid to third parties are handled under the relevant provider's terms.

Photography Prints

Made-to-Order Production and Cancellations

Photography prints are made to order. Once the order and payment are successfully completed, an edition number is assigned and production preparation begins.

If you wish to cancel after payment, please contact us as soon as possible. However, once the production request has been submitted to Gelato, cancellation is generally not accepted because production has begun.

Edition Numbers and Cancelled Editions

The edition number is permanently assigned when payment is successfully completed. No edition number is assigned to an incomplete or unpaid order.

If an order is cancelled or refunded after payment, the assigned edition number will not be reused. It remains permanently recorded as a cancelled edition and will not be reassigned to a future order.

If the Selected Framing Is Unavailable

If the selected frame or framing specification is unavailable for the destination country or region, we will contact you before production begins.

We will discuss an equivalent replacement frame, another specification available for the destination, or cancellation of the order before proceeding. If cancellation is selected, a refund will be issued.

Damage, Incorrect Delivery, or Significant Defect

If you receive the wrong artwork, serious shipping damage, or a significant issue clearly inconsistent with the description or order, contact us as soon as possible and, where practicable, within 3 days so that we can verify its condition. The 3-day request does not limit rights under applicable law.

Please retain and provide photographs showing the condition of the artwork, outer packaging, and packing materials. After reviewing the details, CHIIIT ARCHIVE will work with Gelato to arrange an appropriate resolution, including reproduction, replacement shipment, a refund, or another suitable response.

Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the order.

After the refund has been processed, the time required for it to appear on your card statement or account may vary depending on the card issuer or financial institution.

Duties, import taxes, customs fees, proxy purchasing service fees, and other charges paid to third parties are generally not refundable by CHIIIT ARCHIVE.
