Is there a physical store?

CHIIIT ARCHIVE operates online only. The business address listed in Legal Information is not a CHIIIT ARCHIVE retail store or showroom. In-person viewing, purchasing, and local pickup are not available.

Are the vintage items authentic?

We review brand tags, materials, construction, era, and design details before listing each item.

Is domestic shipping included for Vintage items?

Standard delivery within Japan is included in the listed price. No additional per-item shipping charge is added at checkout when multiple items are purchased together. Orders placed through Buyee incur separate international shipping and service charges after arrival at its Japan warehouse.

Where can I check the item condition?

Please review the photos, description, and condition details on each product page. Vintage items may show signs of age and minor wear.

Can I purchase vintage items from overseas?

Yes. When accessing from outside Japan, purchase through the Buyee Cart displayed on the site. It is not displayed within Japan. CHIIIT ARCHIVE's direct checkout is limited to domestic delivery, and we do not sell or ship vintage items directly overseas.

Can I cancel, return, or exchange a Vintage item?

As all Vintage items are one-of-a-kind, we do not accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges for customer convenience after an order has been placed. This includes size issues, differences in appearance or colour perception, change of mind, or ordering the wrong item. Please contact us before purchasing if you have any questions about the condition, measurements, or details of an item.

However, if you receive the wrong item, significant undisclosed damage, or an item that materially differs from its description, contact us as soon as possible and, where practicable, within 3 days so that we can verify its condition. For a return caused by our error, we cover return shipping and refund the item price paid, which includes standard domestic delivery. The 3-day request does not limit rights under applicable law.

For orders placed via Buyee, begin the inquiry from your Buyee order page. CHIIIT ARCHIVE cannot issue a direct Stripe refund to the overseas end customer.

Which countries can photography prints be delivered to?

Direct delivery is currently available to United States, Canada. This is not unrestricted worldwide shipping; each country is enabled only after confirming Gelato fulfilment and separate certificate shipping from Japan.

Where are photography prints shipped from?

Photography prints are produced at a Gelato partner production facility and are generally shipped directly from that facility to the purchaser.

Is shipping included for photography prints?

Standard artwork delivery and standard certificate postage are included in the listed price. If standard delivery is unavailable, we will contact you before production and will not charge an additional amount without consent.

Are import duties and taxes included?

If the shipping method is provided as DDP (duties paid), duties and import taxes included in that method should not be collected again on delivery. Any duties, import taxes, or customs fees not included in the shipping method remain the purchaser's responsibility.

What happens if the selected frame is unavailable for my destination?

We will contact you before production begins to discuss an equivalent replacement frame, another available specification, or cancellation. We will not change the specification without your approval.

What is an edition number?

Each artwork is managed as one limited edition shared across all available print sizes. The edition number is assigned when payment is successfully completed.

How will the Certificate of Authenticity arrive?

The certificate is sent later by CHIIIT ARCHIVE as a separate shipment with separate tracking information. Because it has a different origin from the artwork, the delivery dates and arrival order may differ.

What should I do if the artwork arrives damaged?

Contact CHIIIT ARCHIVE as soon as possible and, where practicable, within 3 days so that we can verify the condition. Keep photographs of the artwork, outer packaging, and packing materials. We will review the details and work with Gelato. The 3-day request does not limit rights under applicable law.

Can I cancel a photography print order?

Please contact us as soon as possible after payment. Once the production request has been submitted to Gelato, cancellation is generally not accepted.

What payment methods are accepted?

Direct Vintage orders within Japan and direct Photography orders use Stripe Checkout; available payment methods are shown at checkout. International Vintage orders are paid through Buyee.
