An early vintage COMME des GARÇONS cotton vest, dating from the late 1980s to early 1990s G-tag period.
Distinguished by its relaxed boxy silhouette and double-faced construction, the vest is made with the same fabric on both sides. Both front panels feature functional buttons and buttonholes, creating an unconventional structure that subtly blurs the usual distinctions between front and back, left and right.
With a chest width of approximately 54 cm, the relaxed proportions make the piece easy to style across genders. It can be worn over a T-shirt or tank in warmer months, or layered with shirts, knitwear and outerwear during cooler seasons.
The muted beige-brown tone has a soft, difficult-to-define depth, complemented by the dry texture and natural character of the 100% cotton fabric.
